Update

Gameplay

  • Removed apparent lag when using melee attacks.
  • Now you can see bonfires on the minimap in case you have the heart of your teammate in your backpack (to simplify finding them).
  • Now fridges stuck with collision will not kill players.
  • Fixed camera angle limits when aiming in a vehicle.
  • The amount of souls that will be given for rituals in battle when using certain pants/talismans have been increased: for the first level from 10 to 20, for the third from 25 to 50. 
  • Fixed respawn of multiple players on the same spawn point within a short time interval. Players will no longer start too close together.
  • Victims of Heaven's Wrath will no longer be added to the ritual starter's kills score.
  • Reworked target selection for “Heaven's Wrath”. It has become more dangerous.
  • The cost for the “Heaven's Wrath” ritual has been reduced to 300 souls per use.
  • Fixed zero item weight indication in the inventory of a player being spectated.
  • Fixed situations where a downed (knocked over) player was not instantly killed after all his teammates die.
  • Improved checks on sign painting. Blocked painting on hard to access locations.
  • Removed the 'Grenade kill' award for vehicle cannon kills.
  • Fixed bugged "resurrection" without any items immediately after death which was possible when the victim died at the end of the healing process.
  • Gravestones and shields now grow gradually. This will fix problems with sticking in them.
  • Fixed the lighting of a number of materials during the sun eclipse ritual.
  • Fixed sun eclipse time reduction on ritual overpainting.
  • Now you can close doors that are not fully open or closed.
  • Concussion effect has been added.
  • A player can no longer extinguish fire when crawling and moving.
  • Now you will detach from a stationary machine gun when you start to heal.
  • Prevent stationary machine gun use when the player uses inventory.

Graphical and animation

  • Fixed a bug when a player could not see the climbing animation on other players.
  • Added support for ultra-wide screens. We use a horizontal fov of a 16:9 screen as a reference for aspect ratios narrower than 16:9, but screens with a wider aspect ratio we are increasing the horizontal fov, while keeping vertical fov at the same value as for 16:9 screens.
  • Fixed drop in a framerate when a player would try to jump/climb in some specific locations on the map.
  • Fixed an issue that caused incorrectly masked scope lenses and DoF when resolution scaling is enabled.
  • Changed “Improved DoF effect for scope settings:
    • “Scope image quality” setting from low to high has been added. It has improved the quality of displaying vegetation at distance.
    • The DoF effect in optics is now displayed in any scope mode.
  • Now a character will properly detach its hands at the top of a ladder climb.
  • Now when you climb a ladder and look straight up or down your character will not detach from the ladder.
  • Improved effect of screen reflection at high antialiasing settings.
  • Fixed wet grass being too bright compared to the ground.
  • The sky will no longer be reflected in blood puddles in rooms.
  • Removed smoke trail for tracer shells.
  • Changed reload animation for the following weapons: Kar 98k, Beretta M38, Gewehr 43, AVS 36, StG 44, SVT 40, M1 Garand.
  • Fixed the animation of stationary machine gun destruction in a player's hands.
  • A refraction shader has been added to water spray.
  • Slightly improved upsampled image quality when resolution scaling is enabled.
  • Improved performance of rendering vegetation on Xbox One, especially in the High Quality graphics preset.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Ambient Occlusion Quality to show an incorrect value in the graphics settings menu.

Weapons and damage model

  • A new mechanic for weapon behavior in a hero’s hands in all degrees of freedom (on all 6 axes). Now the weapon responds better to the movement and turning sharply of the game character. New impulses that affect recoil, such as the shutter impulse have been added  
  • Fixed centering of the front sight of the m1 bazooka rocket launcher. Now when you change sighting, the correct front sight will be centered on the screen.
  • The gewehr 41 will now be reloaded using clips. The gewehr 43 will now use magazines which are now no longer interchangeable with the Gewehr 41.
  • Melee weapon damage now depends on the target’s armor.
  • Browning M1918 horizontal recoil has been reduced.
  • Now Eric “Torden” Thorson landing on a vehicle while using his ability will receive less damage. 
  • The attack radius of the Luftvärnsterrängdragbil M40 shells has been increased.
  • The amount of ammunition in loot near automatic rifles has been increased and balanced so that there is 30-45 rounds near each rifle.
  • Players can now be downed in vehicles.
  • Fixed a bug, where nearby entities were not damaged if a shell hits a vehicle and explodes
  • Ladders to watchtowers can be destroyed.
  • Now the molotov breaks windows. So you can throw it into a building from outside.
  • For some weapons, the distance at which the hero moves the barrel has been corrected to avoid contact with an object.
  • Fixed a bug where the molotov could explode in the hands like a hand grenade.

Sound

  • The volume of enemy movement sounds and the distance at which they can be heard have been slightly increased.
  • Updated distance settings for shooting all weapons when other players are shooting.
  • Added new grenade blast sounds.
  • The “Heaven's Wrath” ritual - updated distance settings and sounds of explosions at long distance

Other fixes

  • Fixed item.uniqueName error at the top of screen.
  • Now players that are reconnected or connected to the game after another player have the correct avatar preview.
  • Now lengthy weapon names autoscroll in the HUD.
  • Now there is a 'clear all' button in the notifications window.
  • Fixed a rare crash caused by incorrect numeric calculations during the creation of projected blood decals.
  • Fixed a bug, where a downed player could continue to climb a ladder.
  • The cursor now remains in the same place when you zoom in on the map.

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. Cuisine Royale is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.
